A good system feels quiet

done-for-you isn't expensive

done-for-you isn't expensive

"Done-for-you is too expensive."

I hear it constantly. And I get it, the price tag on done-for-you looks scary sitting next to a $97 template.

So let me do the maths nobody wants to do.

Before you ever got to "too expensive," you'd probably already spent:

The template that didn't fit - $97. Looked perfect in the demo, built for a business that isn't yours.
The course you didn't finish - $497. Module 3 is where ambition goes to die.
The tool you never set up properly - $29/month, six months running, still not configured. $174 for a login you don't use.
Your actual time - the weekends, the late nights, the "I'll just figure it out." The dearest one of all, and the only one nobody puts on an invoice.

Add it up. You're already past the done-for-you price. You just paid it in sad little instalments :( And it's a frankeneffort (however, kudos to you if you made it work!)

I love patterns, and here's the pattern I see on repeat: someone spends $500+ avoiding the "expensive" option. Everything works “kind of ok”. They plod along. Eventually, they pay someone to do it properly, and are RELIEVED and mad they didn't do it sooner. If I had a penny for the number of times a client said “I should have gotten you sooner", I'd probably have around a dollar lol.

The real cost is the time you burned, the clients who drifted off because the experience was clunky, the overwhelm you lugged around like a backpack full of bricks, and the revenue you didn't make because you were too buried to grow.

Doing it wrong three times costs way more than doing it right once. It just hurts less per payment, so we don't clock it.

So the honest question isn't "can I afford done-for-you?" It's: are you avoiding it because it's genuinely too expensive, or because you're still hoping you'll crack it yourself?

No judgment either way, I DIY plenty of things I should absolutely outsource (I am learning my lesson too!). But I stopped pretending the DIY pile was free!!
