The client
Bec Lane runs The Ops Side, an operations consultancy. As a solo operator who handles most things herself, Bec is both capable and self-sufficient — but she knows the value of getting expert input on the things that matter.
The challenge
Bec was setting up a new service in Moxie and wanted to make sure the workflows supporting it were solid. She’d done the initial build herself but needed to troubleshoot some aspects, clear up terminology that wasn’t clicking, and get confirmation that the setup was correct before going live. This wasn’t a broken system — it was a smart operator wanting a second set of expert eyes before launching something new.
The system
In a one-hour Pick My Brain session, we worked through Bec’s Moxie setup together. We identified better approaches for some of her workflows, clarified the Moxie terminology that wasn’t making sense, and checked every detail to make sure nothing had been missed. The approach was collaborative — Bec brought the context and the questions, and together we worked through each one until she felt confident the system was ready.
The results
Bec Lane
“You’re excellent at explaining concepts in a way that works for my brain.”
“As a solo operator who does most things myself, it’s so valuable being able to tap into resource and expertise like yours on a casual basis — it’s the second set of eyes we just need sometimes.”
